At Oji Fibre Solutions – Forest Resources (Kinleith Mill), our manufacturing operation is committed to the efficient and complete use of sustainably sourced virgin wood-fibre from renewable forestry resources.  We take pride in producing world-class market kraft pulps, which are used in a wide range of boards and specialty products around the world.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you’ll see your projects go from concept to commissioning — all while working in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team and contributing to the long-term future of the mill.

What you will do

Key aspects of this full time permanent position include:

  • Taking the lead on high-impact engineering work
  • Being the go-to technical problem solver
  • Working closely with trusted vendors and consultants

  • Owning and delivering brownfield projects end-to-end

In this role you’ll manage capital and non-routine maintenance projects, providing practical engineering solutions that support safe, reliable and efficient operations. You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors and consultants, becoming a trusted engineering partner to the business.

About You

With proven expertise in brownfield project delivery, maintenance environments, and a strong grasp of engineering codes, regulations, contract administration, and budgeting, you bring both technical depth and regulatory awareness.

You will hold a BE or NZCE qualification (or equivalent experience) with over five years in engineering across major process industries such as pulp & paper, petrochemical, mining, and metals. You will be customer-focused and results-driven, with clear communication skills and a strong commitment to integrity.
