Field Operations Manager BOP Mt Maunganui, Tauranga

After many years of loyal service our Field Operations Manager is moving on.  Reporting to the Regional Manager BOP, this role is based at our Mt Maunganui office.  The role is vital in delivering support to our highly seasonal Kiwifruit, Avocado, Blueberry and Horticulture customers based in the Bay of Plenty.  This is a superb opportunity that requires a unique set of skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting our external tray erecting contractors throughout the BOP, East Coast, Waikato and Far North regions
• Ensuring all contractors are adhering to our processes, quality control, training and health and safety requirements, whilst implementing any new initiatives
• Dealing with customer feedback and monitoring/identifying any potential ‘stock out’ issues
• Coordinating with our internal Sales, Customer Services, Engineering, Manufacturing QC & Production and Health & Safety personnel to ensure timely supply to our clients 
• Maintaining control of invoicing and stock control
• Assisting the Packaging Systems Leader with the maintenance of erecting equipment off season

You will possess:

• Previous Management/Leadership experience from a Pack House, Tray Erecting site or the Horticulture sector will be highly regarded. 
• Understanding of the Kiwifruit, Avocado, Summer fruit or Horticulture sectors is essential
• Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Customer centric with the ability to solve problems and drive to get results
• Strong time management skills
• A focus on continuous improvement
• Computer literate
• Domestic travel required throughout the year
