Liner Shipping Planning & Procurement Manager

We are seeking a Liner Shipping Planning & Procurement Manager to join our Lodestar team based in either Auckland or Mount Maunganui.

This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring efficient, value-driven procurement and planning of liner shipping services to support Lodestar’s customer base.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Procurement of international and coastal shipping capacity as required for Lodestar’s customers
• Planning and execution of annual and periodic ocean freight tender processes
• Planning and managing shipping capacity and volume allocations
• Liaising with customers and shipping lines regarding volume forecasts
• Maintaining ocean freight rate master data
• Resolution of issues in relation to shipping service levels and freight rates
• Coordinating service performance and KPI reviews with shipping lines.

• Strong background in shipping or logistics & supply chain service procurement
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and lead negotiation processes
• Excellent data analytical skills
• Proven planning skills with a commercial focus
• Delivery orientated
