Seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter with proven industrial experience for our night shift! Join our highly experienced team, working in our busy manufacturing plant based in Mangere Bridge, Auckland. A focus on scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdowns and project work will keep you busy, while ensuring timely repairs to our plant and equipment, to keep production downtime to a minimum.
We need a person who is high energy, with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. If you work with a sense of urgency and have an enquiring mind, then these are attributes that will be greatly valued along with your solid maintenance engineering skills. If you take pride in improving machine reliability; ensuring they run at the optimal level, then this role is for you. We want strong pro-active problem- solvers who like to get things moving. If you wish to develop your career into a reliability engineering role, then we will actively support the right person to reach this goal.
Reporting directly to the Reliability Team Leader, you will get involved in improvement projects; corrective and preventative maintenance, you will be a champion of maintenance processes and process improvements. You will be qualified with an NZCE or relevant Trade Qualification, but most importantly will have the following attributes:
- Commitment to health and safety (on and offsite) will be considered as a basic attribute.
- Exposure to LEAN manufacturing and 5s in the working environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with good initiative
- High levels of verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment
- Ideally you will come from a similar, fast paced production environment.
