Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC)

About the role

As the Operations Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll be the key link between operations and maintenance teams, supporting the coordination of planned and reactive maintenance activities. Your focus will be on minimising downtime, improving asset reliability, and contributing to continuous improvement across our production environment. Reporting to the Production Business Unit Manager you will be working closely with planners, engineers, and production leaders, helping to prioritise and schedule work, manage change, and ensure readiness of plant and people for maintenance activities.

This role requires high level of communication, decision-making, and planning skills, as well as the ability to balance production goals with maintenance needs.

What you will do

  • Coordinating maintenance schedules and production plans to optimise plant performance
  • Liaising between engineering, production, and external contractors to ensure timely and safe completion of work
  • Monitoring and reporting on asset performance and maintenance KPIs
  • Supporting the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
  • Championing safety standards and promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of work orders, maintenance records, and compliance requirements

Ideally you will have an engineering trade qualification, NZCE, or a degree in Engineering or Science. You will bring proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within operations or maintenance coordination, and possess a solid understanding of production processes and maintenance system. You will have strength in building strong cross-functional relationships and facilitating effective planning.
