We have an exciting role for an enthusiastic HR professional to join our Packaging business, working across our New Zealand manufacturing facilities.  This unique opportunity is your chance to shine and really add value to our business units, providing support across the full employee lifecycle.

Responsible for providing the ready-responder service to our people managers on day-to-day HR matters in our Packaging business units you will instantly discover variety and flexibility are the key to this role’s success; there is no typical day.  You could be involved in anything from promoting and embedding HR policies, practices and strategic objectives, disciplinary meetings, coaching line managers, recruitment, rolling out learning and development programs, or writing position descriptions, reporting, administration and everything in between!

Reporting to the Head of People and Culture; the person we are looking for is a quick learner who can hit the ground running.  You will have a proven ability to influence others, sound judgment and decision-making; great Interpersonal and communication skills; a creative thinker; solutions & delivery focussed; and above all have an exceptional customer service ethos.

 

To be considered for this role you must possess:

 

  • Solid experience as a Mid-Senior level People and Culture practitioner, ideally working within a unionised environment and or large multi-site organisation.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Have a strong understanding of NZ employment relations environment and legislation
  • Exposure to HRIS and LMS
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
