Planning & Shutdown Manager


About the role

We are seeking a suitably experienced Planning & Shutdown Manager to join the Maintenance Team.  Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a challenging and exciting role that will see you undertake effective planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities for the provision of optimising plant performance with the allocated resources, with a particular focus on scheduling and coordinating all shut activities in line with industry best practice.

 Undertaking an active role on the Maintenance Management team this role will require a dedicated and motivated professional who ideally has maintenance or engineering experience and knowledge of workflow processes in a large, complex industrial or manufacturing environment.  To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, be a sound team player with the ability to think on your feet and problem solve as you go. 

Skills & experience

  • Have strong attention to detail, organisational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Competent in the use of SAP, MS Project, and Excel
  • Demonstrate the skills to coach and lead a team of Planners
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain and improve major shutdown planning & scheduling
  • Ensuring sound process safety and risk management systems are undertaken
