Pre-Make Tool Maker

Industrial Day Shift – 6.30am – 3.00pm

Oji Fibre Solutions is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of pulp, paper and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country.  Our Paper Bag business based in Penrose, Auckland designs and produces multi-wall bags for the Dairy, Cement, Flour and Sugar industries throughout the country and into offshore markets.

Opportunity for an experienced Toolmaker to join our busy manufacturing plant based in Penrose, Auckland to maintain the make ready department and provide support to production. 

Responsible for:

• Repair, service, assembly, maintenance and improvement of tooling dies, jigs, fixtures, and fittings
• Support new tooling from commissioning stages through to production
• Troubleshoot quality and tooling problems, attend to breakdowns
• Machine parts from drawings
• Manufacture new tooling and ancillary spares

We are looking for:

• Minimum 2+ years toolmaking experience
• Relevant formal qualification as a Toolmaker or Trade Certification
• Experience working within a manufacturing/production environment
• CNC experience; advantageous
• Strong work ethic with a great attitude
• Good communication skills verbal and written
• Strong Health and Safety practice is important on our sites, and we are looking for people who can show they are committed to working safely.

• Competitive hourly rate - $28.87 per hour
