7.00am - 3.00pm then 3.00pm – 11.00pm

Oji Fibre Solutions is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of pulp, paper and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country.  Our Paper Bag business based in Penrose, Auckland designs and produces multi-wall bags for the Dairy, Cement, Flour and Sugar industries throughout the country and into offshore markets.

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Production Line Leader to join our team in the Industrial Line.  Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a hands-on role, where the Line Leader has a dotted line with approximately 20 people that you would be supervising.  Experience within paper bag manufacturing (operating a Tuber or Bottomer) or from the packaging sector is highly desirable.

What we need from you:

• Strong supervisory experience within manufacturing, supervising a team of Operators and Packers.
• Experience coaching people and driving improvement in production performance.
• You will be conscientious, calm under pressure, have strong communication skills and experience handling critical conversations and resource management.
• Maintaining strong disciplines around housekeeping, regular training of staff in relation to health and safety initiatives, HACCP adherence and active participation in health and safety forums.
• Ensuring operational production performance KPI’s are met and supporting machine operators to ensure effective problems solving.
• Ability to make effective decisions within a time pressured environment.
