Senior Project Mechanical Engineer

About the role:

Reporting to the Mechanical Group Lead, this is a senior technical and leadership position, responsible for the successful delivery of capital and non-routine maintenance projects at Kinleith Mill. You’ll work independently and collaboratively across teams to identify, scope, and deliver medium to long-term engineering solutions that align with the mill’s strategic objectives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead capital and maintenance projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring alignment with operational and safety standards.
  • Manage project planning, budgeting, and execution to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Provide technical expertise to support problem-solving, process improvement, and long-term planning.
  • Mentor engineers and oversee consultants to drive engineering excellence and capability development.
  • hampion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all project and engineering activities.

Holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering and backed by extensive experience in industrial environments, you’ll bring strong technical capability across design, project delivery, and process troubleshooting. Your leadership in mentoring engineers, managing budgets, and collaborating with contractors will be essential, along with a solid understanding of safety systems and environmental compliance. Proficiency in SAP and other engineering tools will support your success in this key role.
