Packaging Northern site

We have an exciting opportunity available at our Packaging Northern site in Mangere Bridge, Auckland.  Reporting to the Facility Manager at our large 24/7 Auckland plant, the Technical Manager is responsible for 4 direct reports and leads the Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance requirements for the site.

The successful candidate will have significant QA and compliance experience including:

• Managing and coordinating external audits
• Compliance and administration of GMP and HACCP systems
• Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of quality and food safety management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FSSC22000).
• ensuring management systems are well documented and adhered to
• Improving customer complaints and investigating non-conformance issues
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques i.e. LEAN Six Sigma, RCA
• Statistical Quality qualifications
• Leading and developing a team
• Background in manufacturing sector with FMCG, Packaging or Food Quality
• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications

 In addition; the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following personal attributes:

• Proven ability to influence and communicate with a wide range of people across sales, operations and supply chain
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• Exceptional time management, organisation and co-ordination skills
• Highly Detail orientated
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
