Wood Prep - Driver (Fixed Term)

We seek an operator for a 3 month fixed term driving role in Wood Prep. Below are the skills and knowledge requirements.

Qualifications and Knowledge Requirements:

• Must have Class 2 licence plus W endorsement. Experience essential with driving in an industrial environment.
• High level of physical fitness, with the ability to work in a variety of conditions (height, heat, confined space, wet and cold conditions)
• Communication skills both written and oral, can report on progress of work both orally and in writing.
• An ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Able to give an example and explain where they have been working as effective team member.
• Has proven experience of successfully taking on new roles or skills.
• An ability to plan and prioritise work.
• Can demonstrate and understands what due care of machinery is
• Can demonstrate knowledge of computer skills: switch on/off, use mouse, login/out, send and receive e-mail
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with good housekeeping ethics and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Competently use CB and RT radios

 The required skills, qualifications and experience are:

• Can demonstrate knowledge of previous experience operating heavy, mobile machinery in uneven and unstable terrain e.g. Forest harvesting quarrying or similar within the last 36 months.
• Production work experience in the solid wood processing industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety processes including hazard ID
